Brass stamps expand the application range of hot stamping to complex motifs with intricate lines and reliably perform the hot stamping of robust materials. They amortize the acquisition costs through dimensional stability, durability, and reduced material and personnel costs for setup, conversion, and maintenance of production lines.
Brass embossing dies are milled engraved rather than etched, unlike those made of magnesium. The contours of the motifs are clearer, and limitations on profile depth and line width imposed by the etching technique are eliminated.
The heating of a stamp during the hot stamping process results in expansion of stamp material and workpiece, which must be considered in stamp production.
Our CNC engraving processes are based on vectorized models. The effect of expansion can be accurately inverted onto the model, so that the embossing, after cooling, matches the desired outcome with the same level of precision.
Precision with every impression
Brass embossing dies
Brass embossing dies are used for hot stamping, except for blind embossing, together with foils for labeling and decoration.
Labeling and decorative elements are printed with special inks on metal foils, which, during hot stamping, are pressed onto the surface of the workpiece with high pressure by the heated die. The ink separates from the metal foil and forms a permanent bond with the heated surface of the workpiece.
In relief printing, brass embossing dies are used to emboss reliefs into the workpiece in addition to applying ink. The ink at the bottom of the relief is protected from abrasion during transport and handling by the depth of the profile. The colors remain fresh throughout the life of the product and packaging, and the permanent embossing creates the impression of durability and value of the labeled object.
Due to the heating and cooling process and the pressure applied, the die undergoes significant stress. Brass dies, due to the hardness and dimensional stability of the brass material, are well-suited for achieving consistent hot foil embossing in industrial three-shift operations.
Our high-quality brass embossing dies have been proving themselves in industrial production on a daily basis for decades. They consistently deliver hot foil embossing of excellent quality, resulting in remarkably clear labeling. Our customers appreciate the quality achieved with the brass embossing dies we manufacture. The positive appearance of the packaging communicates the high quality standards of the manufacturing company.

Applications of our products
Brass stamps in practice
Brass stamps are excellent for blind and foil embossing on various materials including paper, plastic, wood, rubber, and leather.
Some plastics require cold embossing, as they would melt under the heat necessary for hot embossing.
Paper and cardboard packaging without plastic layers, as well as wood, are thermally more robust and can be hot embossed. This is a standard process in the packaging industry, as hot embossing reduces color abrasion that conventionally printed packaging would suffer during transport and handling of the packaged goods.
Due to its natural dimensional stability, leather requires hot embossing. In the leather industry, blind embossing – embossing without foil – is common. The colorless embossing enhances the tactile experience of the noble material.
